This all depends upon what takes place Friday against Boston and Saturday @ the Rags

the sabres aren't looking at 2013-2014 season for players that they are going to acquire this year.

I think the sabres are gonna swallow this bitter pill of a season but are not gonna accept another rebuild year. If they are gonna trade away pieces it is gonna be for NHL roster talent or guys that are in the AHL because of who is infront of them in the NHL now or are ready to take a full jump to the NHL next year.

Without any big trade or free agent acquisition.. best best for next year is.

Vanek - Roy - Pommer
Leino - Ennis/Galchenyuk - Stafford/Kassian

Then a mixture of gerbe - gaustad/ennis/galchenyuk/ - Kaleta
with McCormick and Adam mixed in.

If Darcy and Terry can do a good enough job convincing Goose they can find him a good home for a legit shot at a Cup this season while acquiring a 1st round pick for him and then telling him to come back home to Buffalo come summer time.

This would be an outsatnding play by both Terry and Darcy and a fantastic way of bettering this hockey club.

Sounds to me Goose does not want to leave here either. Siad publicly he has spent his entire adult life here and does not want to leave.

Lets see how good Darcy is and how much this group loves playing for Terry and see if he can get players to come here or come back here after they have left.

Terry has proven he can do this type of thing already with having Regher waive his no trade clause to come to Buffalo after a little visit from Terry and Mrs Pegula.
